Molara Natural Pools and Cala Girgolu by RIB from Olbia, Half Day
Four hours on a maxi RIB from the Marina di Olbia to the natural pools of Molara and Cala Girgolu, with stops for swimming and snorkeling and an aperitif on board. In a small group or with the boat all to yourselves.
The Molara natural pools (piscine di Molara) are one of the most spectacular spots on Sardinia’s northeast coast: a stretch of shallow sea over white sand, inside the Tavolara Marine Protected Area, where the water takes on every shade of turquoise. With Controvento Charter you get there on a maxi RIB from the Marina di Olbia, on a trip of about four hours that also takes in Cala Girgolu, with its wind-sculpted granite.
How the tour works
You depart in the morning at 9:30 or in the afternoon at 14:30. After leaving the gulf, you head south along the coast to Molara: here there’s time to swim, snorkel over the pale seabed and take a few photos. On the way back you stop at Cala Girgolu, a sandy cove framed by pink rocks, with a view of Tavolara. Stops are chosen based on the day’s sea conditions.
Shared or private
You can join the shared trip, maximum 12 people, or book the private version, with the boat reserved for you and your travel companions, up to 12 people: ideal for families, groups of friends or a special occasion.
